Broken or unsafe glass at your home, shop or workplace? London Glazing provides a mobile glazing and boarding-up service at your property, with emergency enquiries taken 24 hours a day. We will discuss attendance and the safest next step. Where suitable replacement glass is not ready, temporary boarding up may be needed before a return visit. Arrival and completion times depend on location, access and the glass required.
What happens after you call?
- Explain the damage. Tell us whether the pane is cracked, shattered or missing, where it is fitted and whether anyone is at risk.
- Confirm attendance. We discuss availability, access and any immediate make-safe requirements.
- Assess the opening. The glazier checks the frame, dimensions and appropriate glass specification before agreeing the repair.
- Make safe or replace. Some panes can be replaced on the visit; made-to-measure sealed units and specialist glass may need to be ordered.
Keep people and pets away from loose or damaged glass. Do not try to remove large panes yourself. If there is immediate danger or an injury, contact the emergency services.
Before the glazier arrives
If it is safe to do so, take a photograph from a distance to help explain the damage. Do not touch loose glass, climb to reach it or take measurements across a broken pane. Keep the damaged area out of use and keep people away from both sides of the opening.
Tell us about upper-floor windows, restricted parking, shutters or access through shared areas. For a shop or managed building, have the keyholder or person authorised to agree the work available. We will discuss safe access and any temporary protection needed.

We handle damaged window and door glass, including single panes, double-glazed units and shopfront glass. The replacement specification depends on where the glass is installed; toughened and laminated glass are not interchangeable in every application.
Can you replace the glass on the first visit?
That depends on the measurements, glass type, stock and site conditions. We do not promise that every window can be replaced immediately. If a replacement has to be manufactured, we will discuss temporary protection and the next appointment.
